The Prayer Shawl Ministry
Knitting for others in a spirit of fellowship
The Shawl Ministry of Calvary St. Andrew's Presbyterian Parish was begun in the fall of 2006 by Nancy Lauterbach, who organized a group of parishioners to share their talents in needle work in order to provide support and comfort to those in need. The purpose of the Shawl Ministry is to knit shawls with intentional thought and prayer for the recipients.
Since 2012 we have also joined with the Yarn Circle at St. John Fisher College to knit baby blankies and other comfort items for the Anthony Jordan Health Center.
The Shawl Ministry always welcomes new members, and experienced knitters are always available to teach those who wish to learn how to knit and to become part of this outreach of Calvary St. Andrew's.
We meet the last Thursday of each month at 7 pm at different members' home. Contact Nancy Lauterbach for more information.
Please join us for Sunday Services at 11 AM. Fellowship time begins after worship. Come as you are! You are welcome any time.
