Partners in Ministry
Supporting the spiritual needs of our members.
Partners in Ministry strengthen the church community by maintaining contact with and ministering to members of the parish. A key part of the pastoral care model is Shepherding. Each Partner in Ministry is assigned a group of parishioners to shepherd. Lay pastors assume the responsibility for keeping in touch with members of the parish under their care on a regular basis. Members of the Partners in Ministry use their natural spiritual gifts of listening, compassion, caring, shepherding and advocating for human rights in the support of other parishoners.
A key way to support members is in recognizing certain milestones in their life such as the birth of a baby or a birthday. Partners organized baby showers for congregation members and welcomed new children into our faith community. Support for parishioners is also organized through Partners in Ministry at times, helping members with shopping, rides, etc. Partners share their faith with their neighbors in a very local and global sense, as this year’s theme teaches us to love our neighbors.
Partners in Ministry sponsors one worship service a year, usually in October. They are responsible for leading the service, preaching, and connecting with their members at this time. Coffee hour fellowship is a special part of this worship.
Partners in Ministry meet the second Tuesday of each month at the church for dinner and fellowship. Partners must be members of the congregation. New members are elected at the Annual Meeting.
JoAnn O'Neill is Chair of Partners in Ministry.
Please join us for Sunday Services at 11 AM. Fellowship time begins after worship. Come as you are! You are welcome any time.
