We celebrate creative worship in Word, music, movement and sacrament.
The text of The Lord’s Supper
Each Sunday service concludes with Fellowship, to provide congregants the opportunity to meet one another. When we take the time to know others and to seek their welfare, we are blessed.
Baptism
Throughout the year the congregation celebrates the baptism of new children and adults. The occasion is an opportunity to remember that baptism is a sign of God’s love. In that love a child or an adult is embraced as good and whole. The community covenant with the child and parent is to nurture that person’s faith development.
And All That Jazz
The blending of the sacred and secular intertwine in our Jazz Liturgies. Throughout the year special jazz services enhance our capacity to celebrate Christ's presence.
The Congregational Ministries Unit of the Presbytery of Genesee Valley awarded CSA a $750 grant for the “Reach Out an d Catch The Spirit Program” to provide additional jazz worship and to sponsor five movie nights with ethical dialogue.
Healing Services
Throughout the year CSA offers an opportunity for people to participate in a healing service with the laying on of hands. This ancient ritual keeps at the center of our community the need to bring into God the deepest chasms of our soul for healing and restoration.
Earth Day
As Creator, God entrusted the earth to or care. Each year we celebrate that stewardship in liturgy. On June 13 at 10 a.m. we will lift up our relationship with God and the earth through song, testimony and prayer. Our Earth Day Service in the spring reminds us of our interconnectedness to all of life. As we participate in a healing service for the earth and for all of creation that is fractured through humanity’s misuse we call up our Creator God to heal the universe.
Intergenerational Worship Services
Children are a delightful part of our parish life. Several intergenerational worship services occurred throughout the year on days such as Christmas Eve, Pentecost, and Easter.
