Christian Education
Youth ministry is the village’s responsibility
Teens: Teens meet weekly for fellowship and education.
Christmas Pageant: On Christmas Eve, the church was packed with family and friends as the children and teens provided their
rendition of Mary and Joseph’s engagement, her pregnancy and the birth of Jesus.
Sunday School and Sunday Adult Education: A new curriculum entitled “Seasons of the Spirit” by the Whole People of God was implemented in 2003-2004. The teaching team brought renewed energy and spirit to our program. Additionally, periodic adult education events were held throughout the year.
Bible
Studies: At different times, a group of folks meet at the church to study the Bible and to pray. The participants share insights and questions about the Bible. Through discussions, videos and personal testimony, the group wrestles with theological and practical questions of faith.
Training Center for Urban Interns and Seminarians: Established by the National Presbyterian Church USA, the Intern Program is designed to place seminary students in field opportunities to learn key aspects of what it takes to turn around declining congregations often set within changing communities. CSA has been a part of the training program since it’s inception.
