All
persons of faith are invited to pray with us.
We
are committed to diversity in love and life in our celebration of God.
Join us at Calvary
St. Andrew's Presbyterian Parish--as we walk our paths and
meet to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. In great
spirit, we celebrate creative worship in Word, music, movement and sacrament.
Calvary
St. Andrew's Parish is a Presbyterian
congregation located in Rochester's South
Wedge neighborhood. The cornerstone of our building
was laid in 1873 and our congregation's roots extend back to 1847.
We've
always combined the strength of tradition with the freedom to question,
challenge and change old ways in light of new understanding. Stand
with us as we provide spiritual growth through educational events and programs.
Raise
your voice with us, and sing your song freely in our use of inclusive language in worship and celebration.
Embrace
this magnificent world with open arms and take in our community as your
own, shine with us as we empower lay people.
Create
positive change on your journey as we commit to ministries of justice,
peace, and systemic change.
Build
yourself a strong network while we provide advocacy and case referrals with the community.
Join
us as we strive to be faithful stewards of our resources - be they personal, financial,
our ecological, as we care for our amazing and beautiful Earth.
CSA
partners with other More
Light Congregations to work for the full inclusion
of gay, lesbian, and trans-gendered people in the life of the
Presbyterian Church. The present status of excluding gay and
lesbian people from ordination is not in concert with our vision
of who Christ calls us to be as a community of faith. We
support the Interfaith
Advocates of Rochester.
